The FTM 484 course run by Dr. Helmut Hergeth and Václav Švec from Germany and the Czech Republic respectively. This course deals with typical decision situations in the textile and apparel industry environment. Applications of the theory use tactics like role games to depict the analytical and logical process behind decision-making and situations that arise in the work environment.

Our first course during this experience was the SLC capstone introduction to this minor. Taught by Dr. Deborah Acker from the United States, this course seeks to enhance our abilities to articulate and apply our understanding of what it means to practice being a globally-minded leader today. Here we had a first look at what it entails to be a global leader, mindsets, qualities and set our expectations to start a new phase.

Our last stage was divided between Munich and Innsbruck for the PRT 359 course. During this course, we analyzed the concepts learned about leadership, decision-making, team dynamics, and how they are applied in the recreation and sports industry, with the participation of global organizations such as Allianz, City of Munich sports, and others we were able to see the real-life application of leadership styles and global management.
